Smooth rocks (various sizes, approximately 2-4 inches)
Acrylic paints (blue, red, yellow, pink, purple, green)
Paintbrushes (small and medium sizes)
Googly eyes (assorted sizes)
Strong adhesive or glue gun
Driftwood piece (approximately 12-18 inches long)
Sealant spray (optional, for outdoor use)
Black permanent marker

Start by cleaning the rocks with soap and water to remove any dirt or debris. Allow them to dry completely.

Select a rock and decide which end will be the head of the bird. Use a pencil to lightly sketch the outline of the bird’s body, wings, and beak.

Paint the rocks using acrylic paints. Choose bright colors like blue, red, yellow, pink, purple, and green to create a vibrant look. Allow each layer of paint to dry before adding additional details.

Once the paint is dry, use a black permanent marker to add fine details such as feathers, beaks, and outlines.

Attach googly eyes to each bird using strong adhesive or a glue gun. Ensure they are securely in place.

Arrange the painted rocks on the driftwood piece. Experiment with different placements to achieve a balanced and visually appealing arrangement.

Once satisfied with the arrangement, use strong adhesive or a glue gun to attach the rocks to the driftwood.

If you plan to display the piece outdoors, apply a sealant spray to protect the paint from the elements.

Allow the glue and sealant to dry completely before displaying your artwork.
