Heavenly Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars

Ingredients

For the Base:

Pecan Pie Kit
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Base

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add flour and salt, mixing until a crumbly dough forms.
  4. Press the dough evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  5. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove and let cool slightly.

Step 2: Make the Filling

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and corn syrup until smooth.
  2. Stir in chopped pecans and chocolate chips.

Step 3: Assemble & Bake

  1. Pour filling evenly over the baked crust.
  2. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the filling is set and lightly golden.
  3. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into squares or bars.
