Puff pastry with ham and cheese

Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 190 °C (fan) / 375 °F.

Prepare the pastry: Unroll one sheet of puff pastry and evenly spread with sour cream or cream cheese.

Layer: Place ham slices on top, then cover with cheese slices.

Close: Place the second puff pastry sheet on top and press down lightly.

Cut: Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut into strips or rectangles.

Brush: Coat the pieces with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

Bake: Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 18–20 minutes, until golden brown.

Tip: These taste best while still warm – crispy on the outside, deliciously melty on the inside! 🧀🥓🥐
