Often overlooked but very important.
Deficiency symptoms:
- Muscle cramps (especially in feet/legs at night)
- Twitching
- Tight, aching muscles
Sources:
- Nuts, seeds
- Bananas
- Dark chocolate
- Whole grains
Vitamin B12
This one affects nerves more than bones.
Low B12 symptoms:
- Tingling or “pins and needles” in feet
- Burning pain
- Numbness
- Fatigue
When it’s NOT a vitamin issue
Pain could also be:
- Arthritis → stiffness + swelling
- Plantar fasciitis → heel pain, worse in morning
- Sciatica → shooting pain down the leg
What’s the best move?
If this is happening often:
- A simple blood test can check vitamin D, B12, calcium
- Don’t self-dose high supplements without knowing levels

- Do you get little sunlight? → likely vitamin D
