Chicken Alfredo Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients (Serves 8–10)
For the Alfredo Sauce
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 4 cups whole milk (or 2 cups milk + 2 cups heavy cream for extra richness)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
For the Filling & Layers
- 9–12 lasagna noodles (boiled until al dente, or use oven-ready)
- 3 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced, rotisserie works well)
- 2 cups ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded provolone (or more mozzarella)
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Make the Alfredo Sauce
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in flour and cook for another minute to remove raw flour taste.
- Slowly whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened (5–7 minutes).
- Add Parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat.
2. Mix Ricotta Filling
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese and egg. Mix well and set aside.
3. Assemble the Lasagna
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom.
- Layer noodles → ricotta mixture → chicken → Alfredo sauce → mozzarella/provolone.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with noodles, Alfredo, and lots of cheese on top.
